Patty Jenkins' summer smash hit has now earned a whopping $821,75 million worldwide, shooting past the 2002 Spider-Manwhich earned $821,71 million.

That said, Wonder Womanis the top superhero originstory. It's still the fifth-highest superhero movie of all time, falling behind sequels and team up films like The Dark Knightor The Avengers.

According to BoxOfficeMojo, the top superhero origin films (worldwide) are as follows:

1. Wonder Woman: $821,750,942

2. Spider-Man: $821,708,551

3. Deadpool: $783,112,979

4. Guardians of the Galaxy: $773,328,629

5. Suicide Squad: $745,600,054

But those aren't adjusted for inflation – as Business Insidernotes, Spider-Manearned over a billion with that factored in.

Wonder Womanbroke plenty of records since its June debut, including highest-grossing DCEU movie, highest-grossing live action film by a female director, most tweeted movie of 2017, and eventually become one of the top five highest-grossing superhero movies of all time.

With box office constantly growing and the world of superhero films expanding more than ever, these are coveted records that continue to break. Wonder Woman will next appear in DC's team up tentpole Justice League, and 2018 contains roughly 10 superhero movies, including the highly anticipated Black Pantherand Avengers: Infinity War.

That said, Diana Prince may have this particular category locked down for some time; none of 2018's origins stories carry the weight and popularity of Wonder Woman, which is what made her success so special in the first place.
